 We believe in one God, existing without
beginning or end, manifesting Himself in three persons: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit, one in nature, attributes, power and glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully
God and fully Man. He was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin,
Mary. He died on the cross and shed His blood in a substitutionary sacrifice
for our sins according to Scripture. He arose from the dead according to
Scripture and ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. We
believe in the personal, visible, bodily, and imminent return of the Lord
Jesus Christ.
We believe in the Scripture of the Old
and New Testaments as fully inspired of God and that they are inerrant in
the original writing. We believe that the Scriptures are complete revelation
of God's Will for the salvation of man. The Scriptures are indispensable in
disciplining believers in spiritual growth, for effective service in the
kingdom of God. and the supreme authority in faith and practice.
We believe that man was created to
enjoy a close, intimate relationship to God, and that Adam, created in the
image of God, was tempted by Satan and sinned through disobedience. Because
of Adam's sin, all men have guilt imputed and have need to be saved,
regenerated by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
We believe that salvation is only by
grace, through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and is a
free gift of God to all men who receive Jesus Christ.
We believe that the ministry of the
Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and to convict men of sin,
regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the
believer for godly living and service. We believe that the fruits and gifts
of the Spirit are subservient to the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit.
We believe
that the Church, the Body of Christ, consists only of those who are born
again, who are baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ at the time of
regeneration, for whom He now makes intercession in Heaven and for whom He
shall come again.
We believe in the spiritual
unity of all believers.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ
commands the church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every
creature, baptizing and teaching those who believe. We believe that the Lord
Jesus Christ commanded that we show our love for Him and others by
performing works of service and ministry in His name.
We believe that it is the work of the
Holy Spirit to regenerate (baptize), indwell, fill, give gifts, make clear
the Word of God, and empower for service.
In
relation to speaking in tongues, we believe that, in order to preserve
the unity of the Spirit within our fellowship, (recognizing genuine
differences among God's people in interpreting Scripture relating to the
speaking in tongues), we practice the following:
We
encourage applicants to RMI who believe that speaking in tongues is
mandatory as a manifestation of being filled with the Spirit, or who
otherwise practice the gift of speaking in unknown tongues, to seek
affiliation with a mission agency of like conviction.
